How to avoid local copy/ caching of database?

Post by Loeschix »

Hi,
my database file is stored on a synology diskstation - accessible via webdav.
For security reasons, I don't want the database to be stored on my mobile. It shall only be accessible from my local network, or VPN.
Currently that's not the case. Once I have unlocked the database, I can close the app, disconnect from the network and access the database even if the device is offline.
How can I avoid that file is cached?

Thanks

That’s exactly how the app is built and there is no way to not have a local copy. How would you like to deal with network drop when you changed something in the Kypass database? Loose changes?
I think offline usage is the exact reason people use Kypass.
And anyhow it makes sense to check if your local security on your mobile is on. That’s the most important stuff to secure your data.

Hi Mr-Fly,
thanks for your response.

In the Security settings there is a timeout time for clearing the clipboard. I expected this to delete the local copy, but it doesn't! What is this option for?

Thanks

As it already says, it removes a copied information (username, password, additional field from the clipboard so it cannot be pasted anymore. The same feature exists also in the original Pc Version.
It has nothing to do with the files.
