WebDAV server blocks iPhone/iPad due to too many login attempts

Hi,
I have encountered a special problem for some time now and hope to get some advice here.
I use a WebDAV server on my Synology NAS to synchronize data between devices and apps which support WebDAV. So thank you for providing this solution for people who don‘t want to rely on the usual data storage providers for synchronisation.
To secure my server, I have an automatic block for IPs trying to login unsuccessfully 5 times within some minutes. This setting never bothers me except when using KyPass4 which manages to get blocked on a regular basis. As this means blocking of the whole device for accessing the NAS, it is quite a nuissance.
Does anyone else observe this behaviour? How can several unsuccessful login attempts by KyPass happen if at other attempts I can upload and download kdbx files using the same settings (which I don‘t change)?
Thanks for any help.
Fabian
