  1. I just purchased this app with the understanding that it allows for CSV imports, but I cannot find any documentation on the format needed for the import. My CSV does not work, so obviously the formatting matters.

    1. 1st line: header with the field you want to import separated by semicolon (title, username, password, url or any other field for kdbx import). 1st field must always be title.
other lines: the entries separated by semicolon.

      EG.

      title;username;password;url
      Google Mail;toto@gmail.com;mypassw0rd;http://mail.google.com

      1. CSV import is simply not working as it should. I tried CSV with comma separation and with semicolon. KyPass companion does nothing. There is no help file, there is no hint on the website. Feel having wasted my money… πŸ™

  2. Hello,

I have tried for several weeks to get the guys at Kyuran to answer an email with two simple questions; I know that this may not be the proper forum for that but since they do not answer emails I have to try here:

    * Whenever I start Kypass (OSX 10.10.1) it tries to contact your server. Why?

    * Would it be possible to let Kypass remember the last db and keyfile so that I don’t have to chose it manually every time?

If anyone else has the answers, please let me know… :o)

      1. Same request on opening a default DB upon starting here… Unfortunately “Open at login” just starts the program, but doesn’s force to load the last used file. How about that? Thanks!

        1. Would also love to have the option to always load a default DB or even the last DB used. (I only use 1 DB so no issues there)
As cellulit stated the option “Open at login” just starts the program on login to Mac OSX.

  3. chromeIPass is saying keepasshttp needs to be updated. Is a new version of KyPass Companion coming soon? Or is there a way to update keepasshttp manually outside of KyPass?

  4. Great update. Hope could fix following things in next release : )

    1. upgrade KeePassHttp to latest 1.8.4.0
    2. support url search. I couldn’t search string from URL.

    Thanks.

    1. I would also like to be able to clear the recycle bin, if possible! Otherwise great app πŸ™‚
      Thanks, Adam

  5. Hi
I bought it and try to open a kdbx database. The kdbx has been created by my employee with a PC keepass, and there is no key file.

KyPass Companion asks for key file, which does not exist.

What am I supposed to do?

  6. Hi,
is there a Safari plug in for auto fill pw and user name?
So far I only found one for Firefox.
    Thanks and regards,
    Christian

      1. Since the Mac software is on sale right now, I’d like to know whether it is possible to fill in user name and password fields (semi-)automatically. At the moment I’m using MacPass (open source) which isn’t very reliable in that regard.

What I would love to have is:

Autodiscovery of the current Safari URL and hence a selection the correct entry in the kbdx
Semi-Auto Fill by a certain keystroke, after I have manually put the cursor into the field ‘username’

Are those features availabe in KyPass Companion?

  7. What I really would like to recommend is an autofocus on the search field at startup. This in combination with automatically showing the search results would speedup working with Kypass companion. Using control-F is an option I know of but I like to speed up things a little πŸ˜‰ By the way, this is a super App!!

      1. It works basicly, yes. But it has one major ui defect: The entries in the sidebar are aligned right. I would not say that it works on 10.11
