Houston, We’ve a problem

A few of you have submitted a problem with the search function in KyPass 1.3: as soon as they press the button search, Kypass will turn off.
I can not reproduce this problem myself.
If some of you have a problem with the search function and a non-confidential database, please contact me via the contact form or a comment to this article in order to send it to me.
Thank you.

  1. Great App, but for security reasons I don’t want to utilize dropbox for syncronisation. Uploading from the laptop via browser to iPhone failed (was not able to find the url 192.168…). Do you have an idea to manage upload.

    1. You have to use the same subnet for your desktop and your iPhone. You couldn’t use proxy on your desktop (or you have to set your subnet in the exceptions)

  2. Forgive my ignorance, but I still don’t get it. I have a keyfile+password protected kdb-file. It is stored in /crypted on Dropbox but c:\\Familie\My Documents\…\My Dropbox\crypted\ on my pc. What do I have to set up in the app for it to find both kdb and keyfile and keep it sync’ed with Dropbox ? There is an urgent need for a manual !

  3. Problem with the search function in KyPass 1.3: press the search button and kypass exits instantly.

This occurs consistently both on my 2nd gen iPod Touch and iPad.

    The Touch is on 4.2.1.
The database is use is a .kdbx file downloaded from the desktop.

    1. I know. But I can not reproduce the problem. If you have a not sensible database, you can’t send me to test it.

  4. I’m quit pleased with KyPass. I only face one problem.
KyPass Search function works fine with KDBX files made in KeePass 2.13.
But somewhere in between 2.14 and 2.16 the database format is altered.
A collegea of mine updated a KDBX file to 2.16 (from 2.13) and the 2.16 format is no longer searchable.

  5. I purchased Kypass Companion and would also like Kypass for iPhone and iPad, but don’t want to pay multiple times. Do you provide a universal license for all my devices?
